THE SECRET OF THE LORD - Deborah Antignano Devotional

I love the Word of the LORD! It is powerful, transforming, life-changing, encouraging, but more than that, as our LORD put it, it is "True food." In Christ, we will never thirst nor hunger. Nothing can be more satisfying to our soul than the Word of God, "The Bread of Life." Psalm 25:14: The secret of the LORD is for those who fear HIM, and HE will make them know HIS covenant." It is an awesome "secret". The more you set your heart to know HIM, to love HIM with "all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength, the more HE will reveal HIMSELF or "disclose" HIMSELF to you. Proverbs 3:32: For the devious are an abomination to the LORD; but HE is intimate with the upright. I LOVE IT! Nothing compares to the intimacy with our Beloved LORD and Savior, nothing! HIS Word in John 14:21 is so true and HE is faithful to HIS promises. I love John 14:21: He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."

I've set it out earlier on in my walk with the LORD to want to know HIM in a deeper and more profound way. Simply put, "To just love Jesus". My brothers and sisters, when you set your heart to love HIM in a more intimate way, putting HIM first above all else in your day, loving HIS Word more than anything else, "treasuring HIS Word in your heart", it's amazing how your eyes open up and how the Spirit of Truth comes to you and reveals deep intimate truths about HIMSELF where HE "discloses Himself to you."

My prayer has been rooted in Ephesians 1:17-19 and it is my prayer for you all, too: "That the God of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of HIS calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.."

The secret to having a full life and peace in all circumstances which enables one to be content and endure all things is only found in Jesus Christ. Christ is our strength and our joy. HE is the "Bread of Life." HIS words are life to our spirit. We need to feed on the "Bread of Life" so that life will abound in ourselves at all times. We, too, can learn as did Paul "how to be abased and know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me." Phil 4:12-13

Take in your "daily bread." It will renew your mind and transform your life.
